K Street lobbyists have one thing on their mind: how to position clients for the outcome of the midterm elections.

They’re bringing in pollsters and prognosticators and traveling around the country briefing corporate executives in the final sprint to Nov. 3.

Other K Street denizens are racking up the miles, too.

“I feel like we’re really just on the circuit,” said Stephanie Silverman, founder of Venn Strategies.

Ditto for Bruce Mehlman, who leads Mehlman Consulting.

He’ll have logged more than 110 speaking engagements this year, with 50 between Labor Day and Thanksgiving. He’s hitting up big conferences, boards of directors, and briefings for executives with his well-known slide decks, including one on Democrats’ potential oversight agenda.

  • “Interest is off the charts as businesses aim to plan and prepare,” he said.
