Lauren Aronson is a leading health policy expert with deep experience navigating the intersection of policy, politics, and strategy in Washington. As a partner at Mehlman Consulting, she has leveraged senior-level experience in both Congress and the Executive Branch to help clients achieve their policy and political goals.

A trusted strategist, Aronson is known for building and leading effective coalitions and advocacy campaigns across the health care spectrum. She currently serves as Executive Director of the Keep Americans Covered coalition, which brings together patients, providers, insurers, employers, and consumers to ensure access to affordable health coverage through the individual marketplace. She also leads the Campaign for Sustainable Rx Pricing (CSRxP), a broad-based coalition promoting bipartisan, market-driven solutions to lower prescription drug prices.

Prior to joining the firm, Aronson directed the Office of Legislation at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), overseeing the agency’s engagement with Capitol Hill.   She served in the White House under President Obama, where she was a key member of the President’s team working to enact the Affordable Care Act.

Aronson also served as a professional staff member for the House Committee on Ways and Means and as health policy advisor to then-Rep. Rahm Emanuel (D-IL), a member of the House Democratic Leadership. Earlier in her career, she worked as a Policy Analyst with Christopher Jennings at Jennings Policy Strategies.
