WASHINGTON, D.C. – The leading bipartisan government relations firm Mehlman Consulting announced today that it is bringing on senior Democratic Hill staffer Earl Scott Flood as a Principal.   

Most recently, Earl served as Deputy Chief of Staff and Legislative Director for Congresswoman Robin Kelly (D-IL). In this role, Earl managed the Congresswoman’s legislative agenda and advanced her priorities on Capitol Hill. He oversaw her work on the House Committee on Energy and Commerce where he focused on technology, telecommunications, and privacy issues. 

Prior to serving Congresswoman Kelly, Earl worked for Congresswoman Terri Sewell (D-AL), a senior Member of the Ways and Means Committee, and Congressman Cedric Richmond (D-LA). Earl began his career in Washington working for Senator Claire McCaskill (D-MO). In addition to his time on the Hill, Earl also worked as a Federal Relations Counsel for The American Association for Justice.
