Mehlman Consulting adds Top Senate and House Counsel Naveen Parmar

Naveen Parmar, a seasoned Capitol Hill veteran serving in multiple senior roles in both the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives will be joining Mehlman Consulting August 1 as a Principal at the respected bipartisan government relations firm. In between his roles as a senior counsel in the Senate and House, Parmar also helped lead tax policy and advocacy for a top financial services firm.

Parmar joins Mehlman Consulting from his role as Chief Counsel to Senator John Hickenlooper (D-CO) where he managed the economic policy and Judiciary Committee portfolios for one of the Senate’s most effective bipartisan leaders. He concludes his 13+ year run on Capitol Hill where he served in two roles with the House Small Business Committee as General Counsel and Tax Counsel and also for Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) as her tax counsel and for a Ways and Means Committee member. He also spent over five years at Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company where he led the company’s tax policy advocacy efforts.
