BIPARTISAN TEAM

Jacob Shendell is a Government Affairs Associate at Mehlman Consulting. In this position he provides support to several of the firm’s lobbyists. Jacob handles daily scheduling requests, assists with fly-ins, and other daily firm operations.

Prior to joining Mehlman Consulting, Jacob served as a Congressional Intern to Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (D-FL-23) where he assisted legislative staff primarily on topics such as appropriations, foreign affairs, energy and environment, and infrastructure. Prior to that, Jacob worked as a campaign aide on multiple campaigns across the state of Florida, as well as working as a Research Consultant for the school of political science.

Jacob is a recent graduate from the George Washington University with a Master of Professional Studies Degree in Legislative Affairs, as well as a graduate from the Florida State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and Political Science.
